About

Welcome!

My name is Michala,

For as long as I can remember, I have loved learning the heritage and stories behind Native American jewelry. What a treat it is to share my interests and appreciation for Native American artistry with you all.

I am a Native American and member of the Muscogee (Creek) nation, Yuchi (Euchee) tribe. Born in Oklahoma - raised in Texas. My heritage is important to me and I enjoy sharing this part of me through my love of Native crafts. Though my tribe is not known for its work in silver, I am drawn to it. The Yuchi were potters and river cane basket weavers until migrated to the South Eastern area where they soon picked up bead craft. The Yuchi people are now primarily in Northeastern Oklahoma where they maintain a distinct Cultural Identity - some even speak the Yuchi language today.

My goal is to curate beautiful collections through intention and integrity with my focus in shining a light on each maker and their craft. May we all enjoy these pieces as intended by their makers.

Join me on this journey to embrace and celebrate the artists behind Native American jewelry.
